Is FastTrack Worth It? A Realistic Guide

Cost Per Ride Analysis

Is FastTrack Gold worth £50 on a busy day? Let us break it down.

Gold covers

8-10 rides

Cost per ride

£5-6

Time saved (busy day)

3-5 hours

On a busy Saturday with 60-90 minute queues per ride, Gold saves your family 3-5 hours of standing in line. For many visitors, that time is worth far more than the ticket price.

Alternatives to FastTrack

If you would rather not pay for FastTrack, these strategies help reduce your queue times:

  • 1.Arrive at opening. Hotel guests enter at 9:30am, general admission at 10am. The first hour has the shortest queues of the day.
  • 2.Head to the back of the park first. Most people walk straight ahead from the entrance. Rides at the back of the park (Nemesis Reborn, Wicker Man) have shorter queues early on.
  • 3.Use single rider queues. Available on some rides. You will not sit together but queues are much shorter.
  • 4.Visit on a quieter day. Term-time Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the quietest. September weekdays after schools return are the sweet spot.
  • 5.Download the app. Live queue times let you plan your route and hit rides when queues dip.

Booking Tips

  • Book online in advance. FastTrack availability is limited on busy days. Booking early guarantees your preferred tier and often gets a better price.
  • Prices are dynamic. Quiet weekdays cost less than peak Saturdays. The earlier you book, the cheaper it tends to be.
  • You can buy on the day via the app. But you risk your preferred tier selling out, especially Gold and Platinum on busy days.
  • FastTrack is per person. A family of 4 buying Gold at £50 each = £200 total. Factor this into your day-out budget.
